Promoting Originality‑Oriented Academic Evaluation

On May 25, the symposium on "OriginalityOriented Academic Evaluation Leading the Construction of China's Independent Knowledge System in Philosophy and Social Sciences" was held at Shanghai University. The symposium was jointly hosted by the Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations and the Information Center for Social Sciences of Renmin University of China, and organized by the School of Economics at Shanghai University, the Editorial Department of “Academic Monthly,” and the Institute of Higher Education at Shanghai University.

Attendees included Lin Shangli, former President of Renmin University of China; Wang Weisong, Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of the Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations; Wu Jianyong, Party Secretary of Shanghai University; Ren Xiaowen, Member of the Party Leadership Group, Executive Vice President, and FirstLevel Inspector of the Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations; Chen Heng, President of Shanghai Normal University; Feng Shizheng, Vice President of Renmin University of China; Liang Qi, Deputy Party Secretary of Nankai University; Huang Jin, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of the Sichuan Federation of Social Science Associations; Tu Chunfei, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the Zhejiang Federation of Social Science Associations; and Yao Jianlong, Deputy Party Secretary of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences.
