WDCC 2023 Opens in Shanghai

The World Design Cities Conference (WDCC) 2023 opened on September 26. It was hosted by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and supported by UNESCO and the National Commission of China for UNESCO. With the theme of "Design Beyond Creativity", the event is committed to building a world-class bellwether of design, being the cradle of innovation and making the debut for new products.

During the event, some creative design industry and platform projects were released, such as the Shanghai Intelligent Mobility Design Valley, NICE2035 Chifeng Road International Design Street, Donghua University sustainable fashion strategy; winners of the "Cutting-edge Design Innovation Award" were unveiled, and those having made pioneering contributions to the design field on a global scale were commended. Design experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from around the world discussed how design could fuel global connectivity and how AIGC technology could drive high-quality development of the design industry.
