The Deans’ Forum on Building Independent Knowledge System Developing Textbooks of Journalism Communication Held

The "Deans' Forum on Building China’s Independent Knowledge System and Developing Textbooks of Journalism and Communication" was held in Fudan University on November 10. It was co-sponsored by the School of Journalism of Fudan University and the Key Research Base of National Textbook Development for University Journalism.

Combining the two major tasks of building an independent knowledge system and developing teaching materials, and integrating the theoretical research of journalism and communication with the training of talents, the forum is not only a national academic event of journalism and communication, but also one of the important activities of Fudan University Journalism and Communication in their "Discipline Week" of the "cultural calendar".

Chen Mao, deputy director of the Bureau of Teaching Materials of the Ministry of Education, deputy director of the National Textbook Committee Office, indicates that the journalism and communication teaching material system of China should be independent, professional and systemic. For the next step of the Key Research Base of National Textbook Development for University Journalism, we should deliver more high-level results at the national level while existing research is strengthened.
