Helwig Schmidt-Glintzer: China’s path is reflective of the philosophy of "harmony in diversity"

Chinese civilization has a long history and it has successfully become inclusive and achieved integration of different cultures, Helwig Schmidt-Glintzer, emeritus professor of East Asian Literature and Cultural Studies at the University of Göttingen, director and senior professor at the China Center in Tübingen, says at the forum. China has always been seeking its own development path, deeply participating in the global dialogue of civilizations, regulating and promoting the dialogue of values, which implies Chinese people's understanding and practice of what Confucius said -- "gentlemen seek harmony in diversity".
