The book launching ceremony of “Shanghai Knowledge Library of Global Area and Country Studies - Chinese Discourse and World Literature Research Series” was held on January 12 at the Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), organized by the Research Center for Chinese Discourse and World Literature (RCCDWL) and the Shanghai Academy of Global Governance & Area Studies (SAGGAS).
The Shanghai Knowledge Library of Global Area and Country Studies aims to disseminate systematic and high-level knowledge in global area and country studies in a multi-dimensional way, so as to form a long-term academic production mechanism and cohesive effect, and to lead the development of Chinese subjective awareness of relevant knowledge production and the area and country studies.
As the first of its research outcomes, “Chinese Discourse and World Literature Research Series” is edited by Prof. Zhang Fan, Director of the RCCDWL. The first series of ten books focuses on the narrative presentation of “China stories” in German-language literature, with four books released in the first batch, while the remaining six books will be released this year and next year.
