Advocating Long-term Management of Sleep Health
Published by the Social Sciences Academic Press, “Annual Sleep Report of China 2025” has been recently released. Based primarily on the online survey data of Chinese residents' sleep conditions conducted by the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2024, the report provides an in-depth analysis of the sleep health status of Chinese residents in 2024.
The report highlights that, driven by consumption upgrades and heightened health awareness, China's sleep health industry has experienced significant growth in recent years. Supportive national policies have created a favorable environment for the industry's development, with intelligentization, specialization, and diversified integration emerging as key trends. Looking ahead, the state should strengthen policy guidance and public health advocacy. It is essential to formulate and improve relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, while increasing investment in sleep health education and popularization efforts.
Moreover, the core role of hospitals in sleep health should be reinforced, with a focus on promoting precise treatment and enhancing long-term health management. Additionally, efforts should be intensified to provide sleep health education, aiming to cultivate good sleep habits among the younger generation.
