The event was co-organized by the Shanghai Film Academy and the Periodical Agency of Shanghai University.

Ding Yaping, President of the Chinese University Film and Television Association, highlighted that generative AI has significantly impacted the traditional academic publishing system, causing issues such as blurred authorship and shaken academic paradigms. Editors need to redefine their roles, emphasize the importance of humanistic judgment, and promote the establishment of AI usage guidelines. They should also reasonably introduce AI-assisted systems and uphold humanistic principles amidst these changes.

Wang Haizhou, Dean of the Graduate School of the Beijing Film Academy, pointed out that Chinese cinema currently faces challenges in international communication, the integration of traditional aesthetics and modern technology, and the discipline system and talent cultivation. There is a need to place greater emphasis on the integration of culture and technology, cultural nationalization and film and television communication, and to dialectically view the relationship between nationalization and internationalization.
