Shanghai Forum 2025 Annual Conference Held in Shanghai

On April 25, the "Shanghai Forum 2025" annual conference was inaugurated in Shanghai. Themed "An Era of Innovation: Technology, Development, and Governance," the forum brought together over 500 distinguished guests and representatives from think tanks, universities, governments, businesses, and media organizations across more than 50 countries and regions. They engaged in in-depth dialogues and exchanges on the common challenges facing humanity, exploring more inclusive and equitable pathways for the development of Asia and the world.  
 
The forum focused on three core areas: "Technological Progress," "Sustainable Development," and "Global Governance," with 15 sub-forums addressing a wide range of topics. These included international competition and cooperation in the context of globalization, economic transformation driven by technological advancements, challenges of sustainable development, strategies for addressing an aging society and health issues, as well as the ethical and practical dilemmas posed by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence. During the event, Fudan University released nine "Fudan Think Tank Reports," covering diverse fields including climate change, governance, data management, cultural studies, technological innovation, and international trade.
